BUJUMBURA January 14th (ABP) – The matches of the 17th day of the Primus League, football championship of the teams of the 1st division, were organized last weekend, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
Bujumbura City beat Les Lierres by two goals to zero (2-0). It was the same score after the match between Olympic Star and Ngozi City and which ended in favor of Olympic Star. Inter Stars also beat Atlético Academy by the same score. Messenger Ngozi also beat Rukinzo by the same score of two goals to zero (2-0).
As for the rest of the weekend, the Bumamuru FC teams from Cibitoke and Musongati FC met and split 1-0 in favor of Musongati FC. Makamba’s Aigle Noir beat Kayanza United by two goals to one (2-1), when Burundi Sport Dynamic and Lydia Ludic left in a two-goal tie 2-2 (2-2). As for the Flambeau du Center and Vital’o teams, they drew (0-0).
After the matches of the 17th day, Musongati keeps 1st place with 36 points which it has acquired since the second-leg, at the 16th day. She is followed by Messenger Ngozi, who has 35 points. Messenger Ngozi had retained 1st place until the end of the first leg. 3rd place went to Flambeau du Center with 31 points, and 4th place was Burundi Sport Dynamic with 26 points. At the bottom of the table is Rukinzo which ends up in 14th with 17 points and Les Lierres that finishes in 15th position with 16 points. Ngozi City remains the last with 11 points.
