BUJUMBURA March 14th (ABP) – Cases of scam are reported in the Provincial Directorate of Education, Technical and Professional Training (DPEFTP) of Bujumbura (western Burundi) where the provincial director, Mr. Raphaël Ciza, warns volunteer and unemployed teachers so that they do not fall into the trap.
Mr. Ciza indicates that a person posing as an agent of the Ministry of Education, Technical and Professional Training has already telephoned some of the volunteer teachers in that province to tell them that the Ministry of Education is recruiting teachers in Bujumbura province and therefore he can help them. He asks them to possess files and to give money, the amount of which varies between 300,000 and 500,000 BIF, as revealed on Tuesday March 12, 2019 to the check by ABP by a reliable source.
Director Ciza informs general opinion and volunteer teachers at his school in particular that there is no recruitment in that province. Even if there was need, it would only be the case of replacing those who leave for retirement, those who died or are deserting the service, he says.
This is generally what is being done for the moment, the Provincial Director of Education told the check by ABP, insisting that there should be no more people whose money is stolen in that way because, he says, victims have been registered and the recruitment is official.
