BUJUMBURA August 24th (ABP) – The Director General of Higher Education, Professor Anastasie Gasogo, signed on Wednesday August 22, 2018, a press release inviting the laureates of the State Examination 2017 edition to begin registration from Monday August 27, 2018 at the University of Burundi (UB) and at the Teachers College (ENS).
According to that announcement, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research informs the general public and the laureates of the State exam, 2017 edition in particular that the “provisional registration” for the 2018-2019 academic year will begin on August 27, 2018 at UB and ENS at the places that will be indicated to them by those two institutions.
The press release specifies the documents to be submitted at registration. This is a faithful copy (certified by the Provincial Director of Education) in accordance with the original State diploma or a certificate of passing the State Examination 2017 edition and a photocopy of the identity card accompanied by its original.
Winners of promotions prior to 2017 that were referred to UB or ENS, the statement continues, who for one reason or another were unable to study and want to register, should address their request for authorization to register at the General Directorate of Higher Education located in the Asian quarter, Nyanza-Lac Avenue, No. 10 during the service hours. The deadline for submitting those applications is 30th September 2018 at 3 pm
Contacted by phone to know the minimum grade required for the 2017 State exam to access public higher education, the spokesman of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Venant Ndimurirwo, indicated that it amounts to 56%.
