KAYANZA November 2nd (ABP) – The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, Mrs. Rosette Nizigiyimana, said on Tuesday October 29, 2019, that labor inspection and social security services have been set up in all provinces of the country and they are already operational. This was said during a training and information workshop on social legislation for the administrative officials, employers and workers of the Kayanza province, organized by the Provincial Inspectorate of Labor and Social Security in Kayanza (north of the country).
“people no longer need to go to Bujumbura for labor and social security inspection services,” said Mrs. Nizigiyimana with joy in her opening speech at the workshop, noting that such a workshop is of paramount importance because there is no productivity without social peace, and there is no peace in the companies as long as employees and employers do not master the duties and obligations of each other.
At the same time, she commended the initiative of the labor and social security inspectorate in Kayanza province which, according to her, testifies to the understanding of the government’s concerns.
The governor of Kayanza province, Mr. Anicet Ndayizeye, had earlier indicated in his welcoming speech that currently factories and processing cooperatives seem to be proliferating, and that there are still employers employing workers without a contract.
He took the opportunity to call on employers to change their attitude because, he said, the development of a company depends on the working conditions of its employees.
