BUJUMBURA June 8th (ABP) – Central referee Pacific Ndabihawenimana of Burundi has been selected to be among the central referees who will be in Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2019), as announced on Thursday June 6, 2019 by the African Football Confederation (CAF). The CAF specified that a total of 26 referees and 30 assistant referees have been selected to lead the matches counting for the final of CAN 2019 which will take place in Egypt from June 21 to July 19, 2019.
In addition, some football clubs that play in the Primus League A Championship are beginning to recruit players in preparation for the upcoming 2019-2020 season.
According to information gathered from some members close to the leaders of the Vital’O club, that team which finished as the third during last season, is in the process of recruiting new players to strengthen itself. They told the check by ABP that they have already recruited nine players, including Uwimana Tresor who, last season, played for Flambeau of the east team, Claude Nahimana, former Athlético Olympic player, Fabrice Ndayikengurukiye of Inter Star and a certain Olivier who played for the Delta Star club.
As the check by ABP noted on the field of workouts, there are also Moussa Nahimana and Yves Nsengiyumva who played for Bumamuru, Alain Ndinda and Christian Kabura who played in the Olympic Star team and Ndizeye Sefu who was in the Vipers club in Uganda.
