KIRUNDO November 12th (ABP) – The ruling party in Kirundo province (northern Burundi), via officials and natives of that province, granted on Sunday November 10, 2019, a food aid to two centers of sisters hosting the vulnerable, a check by ABP revealed.
According to the CNDD-FDD national secretary responsible for ideology and recruitment both inside the country and abroad, Mr. Anastase Manirambona, this party wants to perfectly close its activities of cattle distribution to the Sangwe cooperatives of Kirundo Province held last month.
At the end of those activities, a delegation of executives and natives of that province first gave thanks by giving offerings during the 3rd Mass at the Kanyinya Parish in Kirundo commune, and later, they went to Kanyinya at the Center for the Disabled led by the Sisters of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus and the missionaries of charity (sisters of Mother Teresa of Calcutta) who shelter orphaned children and the old vulnerable, to give assistance in food consisting of 750 kilograms of rice, 100 kilograms of potatoes, 100 kilograms of beans, 50 kilograms of sugar, 20 liters of oil as well as lemonade for the vulnerable.
Mr. Manirambona said that this assistance is granted to show that the CNDD-FDD party is positive about the charitable activities of those two centers, reason why it has thought of providing help, adding that the members will stay by their side to support them.
As for the parish priest of Kanyinya, Fr. Boniface Nzohabonayo who represented the two centers, he warmly thanked those benefactors, saying that the centers are grateful for the concern of the authorities of Kirundo Province and elsewhere for the support of vulnerable people who live there, noting that this is not the first time they have contributed.
