NGOZI May 7th (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Pierre Nkurunziza, joined the people of Mwumba commune in Ngozi province (north) on Monday, in the community works of mixing concrete for the extension of the Gitwa Health Center in the Gatsinda zone, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
According to the administrator of the Mwumba commune, Mr. Emmanuel Ndayizeye, it is to add blocks of maternity and accommodation as well as a home for the staff of the health center. The infrastructure will be of paramount importance to the surrounding people who had to travel more than 12 km to get to the Gatsinda Health Center.
The Head of State then went to Gashikanwa for other community development works, consisting of mixing concrete for the paving of two halls of the Mafuro Basic School. The latter will be built for more than 270 million BIF and will include six classrooms and an administrative block whose iron sheets were granted by the Presidency of the Republic.
