NGOZI June 4th (ABP) – The presidential couple visited their farm in Rutanga village, Ngoma zone of Gashikanwa commune in Ngozi province (north) on Monday June 3, a check on the site by ABP has revealed. When they arrived at half to noon (11:30 am), a crown appeared in the sky. According to President Nkurunziza, that was a sign of peace and security that reign over Burundi. He visited his herds of cows, goats and sheep before going to the pigsty. There, one could see pigs and piglets visibly well fed. The Head of State also visited his banana, maize, beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, wheat, peas, pineapples, coffee fields and others. In his almost mature fields, there are paddocks with crops fertilized usually with imported fertilizers like DAP and fields fertilized with new local FOMI fertilizers. This is to make a comparison between those crops, as to the effectiveness of the mineral fertilizers used. The Head of State was very satisfied with the harvest announced for this season, on that farm of Rutanga which extends over forty hectares. This is a sign that God has answered my family’s prayers at the time of planting, he said. He invited those who can, to follow suit.
