KIRUNDO NOVEMBER 1st (ABP) – The Minister of Transport, Public Works, Equipment and Spatial Planning, Mr. Jean Bosco Ntunzwenimana, handed over on Sunday October 27, 2019 topographic equipment worth 31,000 US dollars to the School of Public Works (ETP) of Murama commune in Kirundo province (north of Burundi), a check by ABP revealed.
Minister Ntunzwenimana, who is a native of Kirundo province, said that the director of that school advocated for his school, which had no materials to help students practice, reason why he tried to look for this necessary material so that students do not limit themselves to theory but can benefit from practical lessons, he said.
He asked the authorities of that school to protect that very expensive material in favor of other generations to come.
The governor of Kirundo province, Mr. Alain Tribert Mutabazi, thanked the minister for the important donation he gave to that technical school, while asking the teachers of that school to make the students work to obtain good results that will lead them to university.
According to the director of the ETP, Mr. Marc Nduwamahoro, 22 out of 23 students had 50% or more in the national exam, the 2019 edition, which shows that the education at his school is more efficient. He hopes that with that new teaching material the success rate will improve further.
