BUJUMBURA April 12th (ABP) – The two non-permanent members of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Léopold Kabura and Grégoire Nkeshimana, recently appointed to those services, were sworn in on Wednesday April 11, 2018 before President of the Republic Pierre Nkurunziza at the Presidency of the Republic, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
They swore to respect the charter of national unity and the constitution, to conscientiously fulfill the duties of their office with integrity, impartiality and independence, to always keep the secret of the deliberations and to behave constantly with dignity. Appointed by Decree No. 100/035 of March 25, 2018 as non-permanent members of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Léopold Kabura is currently Assistant Commissioner at the Burundi Revenue Authority (OBR), while Mr. Grégoire Nkeshimana is General Manager of Land Titles. They join a team of five members of the Court, composed of one woman and four men.
