MAKAMBA March 28th (AP) – Governor Gad Niyukuri of Makamba province (south) thanks the people who responded to the Head of State’s appeal of contributing to the 2020 elections, saying that the amount of 220,871,200 BIF, or 92.10% of the expected amount of 239,800,000 BIF, has already been collected, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
Mr. Niyukuri said that Kayogoro commune has collected 43,939,000 BIF, or 103.38% of the expected amount of 42,500,000 BIF; Kibago commune has collected 24,322,000 BIF or 78.96% of the expected amount of 30,800,000 BIF; the Mabanda commune has collected 38.267.000 BIF or 102.04% of the expected amount of 37,500,000 BIF; Makamba has collected 43,955,200 BIF or 87.91% of the 50,000,000 BIF expected, Nyanza-Lac commune has collected 50,416,000 BIF or 106.2% of 47,500,000 BIF while Vugizo commune has collected 19,972,000 BIF equivalent to 63.4%.
He urged the people of his province to continue to contribute to the smooth running of the 2020 elections.
