BUJUMBURA March 28th (ABP) – The Cabinet met on Tuesday March 27, 2018 presided by Head of State Pierre Nkurunziza with 8 items on the agenda, according to a statement from the General Secretary office of the Government.
There was the draft Order setting the terms and conditions for the granting of mission orders and setting the scale of official mission expenses presented by the Secretary General of the Government, the draft Decree establishing the creation, missions, composition and functioning of the National Committee of Civil Aviation Safety, of the draft regulation implementing the Civil Aviation Code of Burundi concerning remote controlled aircrafts commonly known as “Drones” presented by the Minister of Public Security and the bill on ratification by the Republic of Burundi of the financing agreement in the amount of US $ 33,128,582.85 between the Republic of Burundi and the International Bank for Reconstruction for the financing of the Jiji and Murembwe Hydropower Project signed in Bujumbura on December 19, 2017 presented by the Minister of Energy and Mines.
There was also the draft Decree on the reorganization of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, the draft Ministerial Ordinance on the missions, composition and operation of the approval commissions of the pre-cooperative groups, both presented by the Minister in charge of Agriculture and Livestock, the draft Decree regulating the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment, the project of servicing of the Kajaga-Kigaramango site in Mutimbuzi commune of Bujumbura province presented by the Minister in charge of the Spatial and Town Planning, and finally the Cabinet discussed the miscellaneous.
