RUTANA July 28th (ABP) – The parish of Mpinga in the Catholic diocese of Rutana (southwest) celebrated on Saturday July 25, its jubilee of 75 years of existence, ceremonies that coincided with the priestly ordination of 8 major seminarians and 6 others in the diaconate, a check on the site .
The very colorful ceremonies were chaired by Mgr. Bonaventure Nahimana, bishop of Rutana, surrounded by the bishops of the dioceses of Bururi and Ruyigi who gave birth to that diocese of Rutana, 11 years ago, and by all the priests of the diocese of Rutana and representatives of the two mother dioceses. The government of Burundi was represented in those ceremonies by the president of the Senate, Mr. Réverien Ndikuriyo and his first Deputy President.
