CIBITOKE / KIRUNDO / MAKAMBA / MWARO April 30th (ABP) – The Second Deputy President of the Republic, Mr. Joseph Butore, at the same time tops the list of candidate candidates for the party CNDD-FDD in Cibitoke province (northwest of Burundi), had joined the other members of his party in the activities of the 2020 electoral campaign which took place Tuesday April 28 at the headquarters of the Mugina commune.
In his word of circumstance on behalf of the other candidate MPs, he clarified that he and the entire provincial team of candidate MPs are committed to following the ideals that their CNDD-FDD party has chosen for the next elections, the theme being: “Everything is possible and easy if everyone walks together”.
He noted that social and development issues, including mineral exploitation, will find solutions in favor of the province, provided that everyone votes for the CNDD-FDD party. For example, he promised to advocate for the development and electrification of the village of Muyange in Mugina commune, his native village.
For the provincial secretary of the party, Mr. Albert Nsekambabaye who officially opened this electoral campaign, the achievements are numerous and satisfactory in terms of security and development. He promised to continue the current projects, before announcing that the development of the new program took into account the needs in the villages. Cell phones were given to the party’s village officials.
On Tuesday’s activities were closed with the reception of 645 new members of the Mugina commune. There are 571 from the CNL party, 46 from UPRONA, 16 from FRODEBU, one from MSD and another from APDR. Eleven (11) people, who did not have a political party, also joined the CNDD-FDD, according to Mr. Nsekambabaye.
In Kirundo province (northern Burundi), the CNDD-FDD party proceeded on Tuesday April 28, 2020, in the provincial headquarters, with the official launch of its provincial electoral campaign, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
The provincial secretary of that party, Mr. Fabien Bizumuremyi, first recalled the political journey of their presidential candidate, Major General Evariste Ndayishimiye, stressing that he has been chosen many times for various very important positions, notably that of the Minister of the Interior, the head of the civilian cabinet to the presidency of the Republic, and that of principal adviser to the presidency of the Republic in charge of military affairs, he said.
Mr. Bizumuremyi said their candidate is very experienced in administration, that is why CNDD-FDD activists hope that the country will soon prosper, given that this candidate highlights the development of agriculture and animal husbandry, a very sensitive sector in the life of the country, underlined Mr. Bizumuremyi.
Since the arrival of Major General Evariste Ndayishimiye at the head of the ruling party, great achievements have taken place to consolidate the party, said Mr. Bizumuremyi, adding that the provincial secretaries of the party as well as the provincial representatives of the youth leagues have today of double cab vehicles to facilitate movement. Even the communal secretaries of that party benefited from motorcycles, just like the party secretaries of the party and those in charge of the women’s leagues in the villages were given bicycles. According to him, the CNDD-FDD party has carried out a lot of development work in the country, even the province has changed its face thanks to projects carried out by the ruling party, in particular the development of cultivable marshes, the project of rural electrification in progress, construction of schools and health centers.
He called on CNDD-FDD activists in that province to approach activists from other political parties to teach them the ideology of the ruling party and encourage them to join.
Mr. Bizumuremyi, who encourages all activists in his party to elect their candidate, General Major Evariste Ndayishimiye by more than 90%, has the hope that their party will win the elections because, he specifies, 27 other parties politicians have decided to ally themselves with the CNDD-FDD.
The UPRONA party also waged its campaign the same day at the capital of the Bugabira commune. As for the CNL party, it gathered its activists from the Busoni, Bwambarangwe and Gitobe communes in the headquarters of the Bwambarangwe commune, at the time when those of the Vumbi, Ntega, Kirundo and Bugabira communes met in the headquarters of the Vumbi commune. The leader of that party, Mr. Agathon Rwasa, was present at the two places, it is said.
In Makamba province (southern Burundi), this party organized its campaign in Gitaba in the commune and Makamba province where activities were enhanced by the Senate President, Mr. Révérien Ndikuriyo. He asked the people of Makamba to vote for the CNDD-FDD to accelerate development, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
According to Mr. Ndikuriyo, peace and security are in good shape in Burundi, that is why we must support the CNDD-FDD program to allow the people to consult and see the projects to be put forward, from the program established by the CNDD-FDD party.
The provincial secretary of that party, Mr. Adalbert Nininahazwe, reviewed the achievements from 2015 to 2020. He cited the improvement of health care for the people, the construction of public infrastructures such as offices, roads and zonal markets, accelerating development by granting Sangwe cooperatives of all villages a credit of 10 million Burundian francs repayable without interest after two years, as well as the subsidy of fertilizers to increase production. He also asked the people of Makamba to vote for the list of candidate candidates for the CNDD-FDD.
Some 113 new party members from other political parties were welcomed. There was a session to explain to the Bagumyabanga how to affix their fingerprint in front of the CNDD-FDD symbol box on the ballots.
In the province of Mwaro (central-western Burundi), the candidate of the CNDD-FDD party for the presidential election, Major General Evariste Ndayishimiye, was Tuesday April 28, 2020 at the Kibumbu stadium in Kayokwe commune, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
He said he knows the life of the people of Mwaro well because, he said, he took enough time to travel across the country to inquire about the real life of the country.
He recalled that the image of the province Mwaro before 2005 is not similar to that of today because, he said, the province currently has a paved road and hotels that attract the tourists. He reassured the population of Mwaro that justice will be strengthened from the residence courts.
In his social project, the presidential candidate of the CNDD-FDD party revealed to the people of Mwaro in general and that of the Bagumyabanga in particular that the CNDD-FDD party will do everything to eradicate hunger through the revitalization of the sectors of production such as agriculture and livestock, energy and mining, the water sector, the information and communication techniques (ICT) and so on.
Thus, he continued, everyone will have a job, except for the one who does not want to work. “The lazy will have no place, that the one who does not work does not eat either”, he insisted.
On agriculture, he said export crops such as tea and coffee will be strengthened, reassuring tea producers that fields and processing plants will be increased. Fish ponds will be multiplied in Mwaro so that the people has sufficient and varied food, added Mr. Ndayishimiye.
Regarding health, the CNDD-FDD candidate said that every village in the country will have a dispensary, adding that each commune will have a hospital and an ambulance. He also indicated that the State intends to provide significant support to economic operators who bring currency into the country.
The social projects of the candidate of the CNDD-FDD party affect all sectors of life and all social strata of the Burundian people, namely farmers and pastoralists, women, youth, civil servants, forces of the order, the vulnerable as well as the elderly population. He called on the people of Mwaro to forget the painful past and continue to work on development activities.
The secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in Mwaro, Mr. Jean Désiré Ndikumana, said that four of the six communes in the province of Mwaro have modern markets. Thanks to the CNDD-FDD party, the province has only one bank, the Management and Financing Bank (BGF), underlined Mr. Ndikumana, who pointed out that Mwaro province could see an asphalt road thanks to the CNDD-FDD party. He took that opportunity to recall that Bagumyabanga are found in all the communes of Mwaro province and reassured that they are ready to vote for their presidential candidate.
The CNDD-FDD presidential candidate then headed for the city center of the political capital Gitega (center) where the Bagumyabanga and party supporters were awaiting his arrival.
In his message, he called on the people to remain united in its diversity, by voting for it because, he added, he is coming to fight poverty until Burundi is a model country in Africa. He asked the people of Gitega to forget their ethnic, religious and political affiliation to be unanimous in voting for him in order to implement all the projects he has already mentioned.
