RUTANA January 21st (ABP) – Data collection sessions were organized last Saturday in Rutana (south-eastern Burundi) as part of consultations for the review of the educational program for young scouts and with the aim of adapting to the aspirations of those concerned, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
That data collection highlights the point of view of young people on the current program, the subjects that interest them to put in the new program and the themes that are in the current program that young people would like to be amended for them adapt to the new program.
According to the person in charge of the educational program for young people in the scout movement, Mr. Alexis Nimubona, it was high time that the current program for young people in the scout movement should be reviewed because, he said, it was over 17 years old. The program we had focused on intellectual, physical and spiritual training, with themes such as reproductive health, the environment, civic education, self-esteem, peaceful conflict resolution, harms from alcohol and other narcotic drugs.
