The prayers organized by the presidential family in Buye have ended

NGOZI August 25th (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Major General Evariste Ndayishimiye urged on Sunday in Buye, in Mwumba commune of Ngozi province (north), the new leaders of the country to make the declaration of their assets since Monday, August 24.

For the Head of State, after 4 days of thanksgiving prayers organized since Thursday August 20 in Buye by the presidential family, the Burundian leaders are committed to radically change and to break with bad habits. He cited corruption, embezzlement and other economic embezzlement. For that, so that the new leaders are not taxed with all those evils at the end of their mandates, they must declare to justice the goods which they possess and they will also undergo a control at their exit.

During those closing ceremonies, the Head of State also declared that the day of August 20 of each year, will be devoted to prayers of thanksgiving for the Almighty who continues to bless Burundi.

President Ndayishimiye strongly thanked the family of the late President Pierre Nkurunziza and particularly his wife Mrs. Denise Nkurunziza, for their contribution to the organization of those prayers. He took the opportunity to solemnly declare the support of the government of Burundi for the Nkurunziza family, especially since the country had already established him as a patriotic guide.

Before closing the ceremonies, the Head of State burned the papers on which the participants in those prayers and especially the leaders, had written the bad acts that lock them in evil and prevent them from acting well in the interest of all Burundians.

On the same occasion, Mrs. Denise Nkurunziza prayed for the insignia of power in Burundi. Those are the Holy Bible, the national flag and that of unity, the Constitution, the staff of command and the coat of arms. She implored the assistance of the Almighty so that the Head of State is able to lead the Burundi people well. She also prayed for the implementation of government projects and funds for their financing. Mrs. Nkurunziza implored the Lord to protect the country, eradicate epidemics including Covid-19, have good agricultural production in the country and completely eradicate hunger and poverty.

Recall that on the second day of the same prayers, Friday afternoon was marked by testimonies of bravery, courage, intelligence and selflessness that characterized the late President Pierre Nkurunziza. According to the preachers of the day, Mr. Nkurunziza was animated by a divine spirit and was a man of destiny, endowed with an unprecedented charisma. As those qualities are found in his successor, they said, God’s promises will be fulfilled in Burundi. In his testimony, President Ndayishimiye said that since the Burundians gave first place to the Almighty, God dwells in their hearts and enlightens their actions. He indicated that all the divine promises on Burundi were revealed to him by the late Pierre Nkurunziza and will undoubtedly come true. Burundi is currently under divine protection. He warned those who would try to disturb him, for they will be struck by the Almighty.

On the third day, the preacher thanked the Almighty for having answered the prayers of the Burundians, granting them a president who loves God and the Burundi people. President Ndayishimiye, meanwhile, urged Burundians to pray for their president and support him in his mission to lead Burundi well.
