MUYINGA March 14th (ABP) – Two young students attending Mukoni high school, in Muyinga commune and province (north-east of Burundi), are in custody in the judicial police cell for alleged rape, according to a source close to the institution.
According to the same source, I.NS, aged 16, in grade 9, was arrested at school on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. BI, of the second, language section, was in turn arrested at his home, on Saturday March 9, the same source says.
This is the first time, says a human rights activist, that students are being arrested on charges of rape.
