CIBITOKE March 13th (ABP) – A Burundian army captain by the name of Jean Claude Ngomirakiza, company commander in the 511th Battalion, died as a result of being struck down last Saturday in Nyabikona locality on Bumba hill in Bukinanyana commune. Houses were also destroyed, according to administrative and police sources.
At the same time Mikoni hill leader’s office and an electricity pylon were also damaged by the heavy rain mixed with strong wind, according to the Bukinanyana communal administrator.
Note that the lightning phenomenon worries the inhabitants of Cibitoke province that request the intervention of experts in the field to explain the phenomenon and give advice. It should be noted that two gold miners died on their site two weeks ago in Mabayi commune.
