KARUSI June 18th (ABP) – The province of Karusi (center-east) organized on Wednesday June 17, at Karusi stadium, a prayer in memory of the President of the Republic, the late Pierre Nkurunziza, a check on the site by the ABP has revealed.
The prayer saw the participation of natives and non-natives, residents or not as well as the people from all the communes.
The leaders of the various religious denominations and the governor of the Karusi province, Mrs. Calinie Mbarushimana asked everyone to be guided by hope, prayer and love for their neighbor in these difficult times.
The parish priest of Karusi who launched the prayer recalled that “if we live, we must live in Jesus Christ and that even if we die we must die in Jesus Christ”.
He who represented Muslims said that “we are born by the grace of God and we die in the will of God”.
Archbishop Jean Nduwayo of the Anglican Church returned to the theme of prayer which said that “one should not feel the pain of demise like non-believers”. When Jesus Christ died, the disciples themselves despaired, but he sent them the Holy Spirit to give them strength. If the province organized a prayer like that it is to relive hope and give courage to the people of Karusi, “he said, recommending unity and love for his neighbor, to respect the will of President Nkurunziza who never stopped teaching it.
Governor Mbarushimana indicated that his province has just lost a special friend, proof of which is that he chose Karusi as the location of his last day of his life. She recalled the great lessons that President Nkurunziza had just bequeathed to the people, namely the love of prayer, the love of work and the love of neighbor. She also recommended trust in God, social cohesion and prayer for the incoming president, for the province and for the nation.
