Bubanza province has sent an aid to the victims of inundations in Gatumba

BUBANZA June 10th (ABP) – The Bubanza province sent aid on Tuesday, June 9, in food, clothes and shoes, to the victims of the inundations in Gatumba, in Bujumbura province, a check  on the site by the ABP has revealed.

That aid consisted of 2830 kg of maize grains, 500 kg of rice, 290 kg of maize flour, 237 kg of cassava flour, clothes and shoes.

That aid was given by residents of Bubanza province, and collected by religious denominations, volunteers of the Red Cross and local administrative officials, a check on the site by the ABP has revealed.

The socio-cultural adviser of the governor of Bubanza province, Mr. Gaspard Nkurikiye, indicates that this aid was collected within the framework of the implementation of the appeal of the Head of State to develop local solidarity.

He is delighted with that gesture, deemed commendable, that the Bubanza province has demonstrated, and asks them to always develop that spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance.

Barely a month ago, it is noted that province of Bubanza had granted 850 kg of food and soap aid, to the followers of Eusebie Ngendakumana who had been expelled from the DR Congo and who were gathered in Nyamugerera in Musigati commune.
